Rantau Prapat is the capital city of Labuhan Batu regency, North Sumatra. The distance between Medan and Rantauprapat approximately c288 Km that can be reached by train and bus. Status Rantau Prapat is a district town. At first extensive Labuhanbatu district is 9223.18 km², while the total population of 1,431,605 inhabitants in 2007. With the establishment of South Labuhan Batu Regency and North Labuhan Batu Regency, then the district area becomes 2562.01 km2 and population became 857 692 in 2008 ,
With the establishment of Labuhanbatu District of North
and South Labuhan Batu Regency, then the number of sub-districts in Labuhanbatu
into nine districts.Rantauprapat also a city whose growth and development very
rapidly. In the field of economy, the
biggest revenue of this city comes from rubber and palm oil.
In the middle of town Rantauprapat flowing large river
called the Bilah River. Bilah River plays an important role in the economy.

Typical food in Rantauprapat dominated by a culture of Malay, Minang, Batak,
and Java. One example is most of Rantauprapat’s foods dominates by Gulai. And
there are Anyang Ayam, Rendang, and Urap. However, the most famous is the
Anyang Ayam Rantauprapat pakat. Pakat is a young rattan that burned. Although
